Our management team of British and French staff ensure that all guests enjoy not only the highest standards of accommodation but good food, a variety of evening entertainment and helpful local advice.
The Château was a private hotel before its purchase and is now run by our own French and British management team. Accommodation is provided in two buildings - the main Château and the adjacent Villa Mathilde (shown right) which is in a courtyard setting. Both buildings are of the same high standard and each accommodates one full coach party.
The main Château building has 18 rooms divided over 2 floors. Villa Mathilde has 18 rooms divided over 2 floors in two sections. All bedrooms are decorated to a high standard and have full private facilities.
The main Château has a licensed restaurant set within an attractive dining room area overlooking the gardens and a comfortable lounge for relaxing. The adjoining Villa Mathilde has its own dining room and an attractive sun terrace.
The Château is set in attractive grounds which can be used for outdoor activities. There is a tennis court and a local golf course which lies just 20 minutes away.
The nearby beach resort of Courseulles has a Marina, with an interesting Marine exhibition Centre. There is a local swimming pool (open May-Sep), and a bowling alley (open all year round). Sports facilities, also include a sailing school (open high season only). STS recommends a visit to the châteaux of Fontaine-Henry, Creully, and Brecy, the 11th century church at Thaon and the priory of Saint Gabriel.
